For the handling of aluminium, the team utilises its vast experience and contacts to:
- arrange shipments
- manage inspections of metals at warehouses
- monitor and manage the positioning of stocks at worldwide locations
The team is also proficient in the handling of:
- all trucking and railway movements
- warehousing contracts
- warrant contracts
The Shipping and Logistics team also handles the opening of negotiations for all letters of credit for Alaska Metals AG.

The Alaska Metals AG LME department is a small, self-contained unit with more than 70 combined years experience in trading non-ferrous metals.
Our primary function is the hedging of Alaska Metals AG's physical exposure in alumina, aluminium and zinc utilizing the London Metal Exchange, the world's foremost non-ferrous metals futures market.
In essence we strive to provide our physical team with the best hedge execution possible in order to eliminate price risk against their physical purchase and sales.
We also manage spread trading, currency exposure and specific speculative positions entered into by the Alaska Metals AG management and monitor similar longer term option/derivative market strategies.
